Sports

I've never seen myself as an sportswoman xD (does a word like this exist?) ... but after I wrote down all the sport activities I do, it seems like I am... Yes I am a sportswoman. For instance... here are some of my favourites:

Horse riding has been my dreamsport since I saw a horse for the first time. Later, when I grew older, I started to spend as much time with horses as I could.

My sympathies for historical fencing were born when I was a kid and I really wanted to become Xena after I grow up. The occasion to start came last year, when I joined a fencing group.

Swimming was shown to me by my classmate Viki. And I feel very grateful about it. Thank you Viki.

I see inline skating as a very good way of transport in the city. Last week I discovered also the excitement about learning new tricks. You never know in which moment will you find yourself on the ground. 

Yoga is the newely discovered magic to me. I haven't learned much about it yet, but it's a mystery I must unfold.

Art And Culture

This summer, I was running trough the list of best selling books ever, and the title "The Alchemist" caught me immediately. I expected a fantasy genre, some mixes of Lord of the rings and Harry Potter. Well this book was a wonderful surprise to me. This is not a mix of anything. It is a masterpiece.


"The Alchemist" takes you to a long journey of a young shepherd, who decided to sell his sheep and go to the pyramids. Why? Because of a zingaro woman who told him, that close to the pyramids he will find a treasure.
The story begins in a ruin of church, where Santiago sleeps with his sheep. In the middle of the ruin grows a tree.

The boy crosses the sea as well as the desert. He meets an old king, works for a glass merchant, becomes a friend with an apprentice alchemist, finds his true love in an oasis and finally arrives to the pyramids. There, two robbers tell him a crazy story about a treasure in a distant land, under a tree, in the ruin of a church. Tududuum!

Family

     Anna I would like to tell you about two big lions in my family. I see them as the most succeful members and they are both my heros. Read on and you will find out why. Enjoy :)

     The first one is my cousin Miroslav

  Miro is the son of my mom's sister. He is the oldest of us "children" and he has always been something like our leader. He used to invent long games with difficult rules, where we had to follow clues, find hidden treasures and solve mysteries.
  As a young boy Miro played basketball and he was pretty good. Now he starts his mornings as a basketball coach for kids.
  While studying on a university Miro became a financial advicer and he decided to bring the new business to his hometown, to Košice. In a few years he built up an office with dozens of advicers. Nowadays he earns amazing amounts of money.
 Last Friday, when I was on his wedding and looked from one table to the next, I realised how succesful he is in every area of life. I saw his collegues dressed in expensive suits and dresses. I saw his friends from the christian community he visits and supports. Then there were we, his family, and also his beautyful wife and Miro himself, good looking, charming and always smiling.


the next hero is my uncle Branislav

Brano is my mom's brother. He has always been some kind of a rebel. In communism  men were forbidden to wear long hair. He has worn it anyway.
He started to work immediately after finishing high school. He got a job in an iron processing factory, but he hated it.  He saw the enviromental situation of the country and  decided to do something about it.  He and his two friends founded a slovak organisation called The friends of the Earth. Nowadays they are very influential in Slovakia.They have already changed a lot of things and solved many problems. Brano gives dayly advices to  chairmen of cities, willages and also to the Ministry of Enviroment. He makes our waste management better every day.

These two men are teaching me a lesson. Thanks to them, I will never be afraid to live my dream.
